Licity Collins is fearless. Described on NPR as “Courageous. Writing and singing full-frontal,” Licity’s music has been praised for its emotional depth and transformative power. A multidimensional, genre-busting music maker with a passion for emotional intimacy and possibility, she sees people’s minds and hearts as her primary artistic medium. Licity's music invites audiences to grow courageously and embrace vulnerability so that our individual lives become more honest and brave— increasing our capacity for love and collective peace.
Licity creates Classical Chamber Music, Funky-folky Songs, and Jazzy Instrumentals, as well as Flow State Meditation Music. Licity’s visionary approach to music is deeply collaborative, boundary-pushing, and inventive. She combines sounds from classical, early music, folk, and rock in her genre-fluid SynchroLicity Collective.
Passionate about the power of music, Licity was named the inaugural Music Fellowship at the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology, and a Sozo Arts Fellow. Licity also served on the BRAVO Community and Education Committee of the prestigious Ojai Music Festival. Licity’s newest work-in-progress is a spoken-sung Opera about grief and our continued relationship with the dead, titled One Death in Seven Doorways, which was awarded a prestigious Creative Heights grant from the Oregon Community foundation and premieres in December 2027.
“There are artists who make music. And there are artists who create worlds. Licity Collins belongs to this second breed. Licity Collins doesn't seek to please. She seeks to move. Her music is profoundly human. What Collins does isn't just art. It's emotional alchemy.”
